At the end of our current 11-year solar cycle that provides a high change of seeing the Northern Lights I decided that now was a good time to try to catch the lights before we move into the cycle with the lower chance. I stayed a week in breathtaking beautiful Iceland with snow, mist, rain and ice. After seeing all types of weather, I got one night with both clear skies and high solar activity and there it was right after midnight… Enjoyed and photographed the magical Aurora Borealis for a full two hours… Shot with a Leica M-P camera with 35mm Summilux lens.
